Gracon to Perform Hydroelectric Overhaul Project for Denver Water at Williams Fork Dam

Gracon was selected to perform the Williams Fork Dam Hydroelectric Dam Unit #1 Overhaul and Penstock Gate Maintenance project for Denver Water. The 217-foot-high concrete dam is located about 15 miles east of Kremmling, Colorado. The project includes overhauling the 3.0 MW turbine and generator of Unit #1, replacing the existing generator excitation system, HPU maintenance, refurbishment of the penstock fixed wheel gate, and additional work. Gracon is also concurrently performing work at another Denver Water dam, the South Boulder Diversion Dam, where Gracon is rehabilitating the five gates.

Work at Williams Fork Dam will commence in December and carry on through the middle of 2018.
