Gracon disassembled, refurbished, and reassembled four 290 MW pump turbine generators. Work included replacing the runners, wicket gates, and the lower seal rings, which required cutting the draft tube, installing new structural components, re-contouring the stay vanes, and performing final machining of all horizontal surfaces. Gracon also replaced four 102” spherical valves, installed four new digital governors, and refurbished the starting motor liquid rheostats and controls. All work was completed under extremely short outage windows.
