Canton Dam Sluice Gates Replacement
About This Project
This $2.5M Design-Build dam gate project includes replacing four 13’ x 9’ slide gates at Canton Dam in Oklahoma. Gracon partnered with Deere & Ault Consultants for the design of the new gates. The new gates performed significantly better than the original gates. Testing showed that leakages are approximately 75% less than the Government’s required threshold. Additionally, the new gates are 7,000 lbs lighter than the old ones.
