Gracon subcontracted to American West and worked with Denver Water on the installation of 66-inch and 6-inch knife gate valve assemblies and Hydraulic Power Unit Skid. Gracon overcame the challenges of both an extremely tight time schedule and congested work area to finish this project. This project also included disassembly, refurbishment, and reassembly of an existing 4-foot by 5-foot slide gate, installation of approximately 65 feet of 66” stainless-steel liner pipe, installation of 7,000 feet of small diameter stainless steel hydraulic pipe, and construction of a new concrete intake structure at the bottom of Ralston Reservoir.
