Lowline Turbine Inspection and Overhaul

About This Project

Gracon was contracted to perform an inspection and complete overhaul of the Lowline Unit in Kimberly Idaho. Project included inspection and overhaul of a 2.8 MW Voith Horizontal “S” Kaplan Turbine and Siemens Allis Generator, overhaul of the Kaplan Turbine including the refurbishment, repair, and replacement of components such as the downstream water shaft seal, turbine bearing and pedestal, turbine blades, flexible coupling and turbine shaft, and testing and inspection the Generator and Rotor.
